BREAKING DOWN THE NEW GTA 5 TRAILER

By on 1:53 PM

GTA 5's new trailer shows off the stunning visual fidelity allowed by current-generation hardware. Capturing from the PS4, the most recent preview reveals a world of stunning beauty and magnificent attention to detail.
From the very first shot, GTA 5 impresses with vastly improved rain, illumination, and reflection effects. The trailer flashes through a quick montage of familiar story scenes and exotic locations, and just about everything looks improved. Objects on desks and walls are higher resolution. Crowds of people are richer and more realistic, with more diverse modeling and outfits. Draw distance is noticeably increased. A bird passing overhead casts a perfectly smooth animated shadow on the ground below. Cam lighting reflects off the surface of a rippling fountain.
GTA 5's original release was already a striking graphical achievement, and this glimpse into the remake hints at a world of unprecedented detail. What do you think of what you see? What did you spot hiding in the background? Let us know in the comments below!
