Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be episodic

By on 8:03 AM

So now that Capcom has confirmed Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is on the way, the company has begun revealing bits and pieces about what to expect from the game. But here's an interesting little detail it hasn't mentioned before: it'll be an episodic release.
The company has confirmed that the game will be released at a weekly rate, distributed digitally for each of its consoles. There will be four episodes in all, and Cpacom even went as far as to provide the pricing model, so users can pay however they please, with Claire Redfield leading the charge.
Each individual episode will go for $5.99 each, or $24.99 for the complete season, with access to a little extra content. Those who want to go the full retail route, complete with even more extra content, can pay $39.99. As to what the extra content is, Capcom hasn't revealed that yet. Perhaps a tofu suit?
The game will release next year for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
