Mortal Kombat X is slowly but surely heading towards its 2015 release, but fans of the upcoming title will be able to log into their favorite digital comic book store to download a copy of the game’s official comic book series.
The Mortal Kombat X comic book is currently in development by NetherRealm Studios and expected to serve as a prequel to the upcoming game that will feature a number of the title’s fan favorite characters as well as new combatants. The graphic novel is being penned by Shawn Kittelsen, who has written a number of short films over the years, while interior art is being done by Dexter Soy, who has worked on several Marvel comics which includes Superior Spider-Man, Deadpool, and X-Men.
The Mortal Kombat X comic book will release just a few months prior to the game sometime in January 2015.
